We had our final selection appointment at the design center last Wednesday. Because I had to wrangle two kids by myself, I wasn’t able to take pictures of every single thing we chose for our house, but here are a few of the choices.
The outside of the house is this beautiful brick color in Oak Reserve. That will be all along the first floor, and the second floor will have Cape Cod Gray siding. The trim is Glacier White, front door is Peppercorn, shutters are Tuxedo Gray, exterior rail is Bronze.
For our gourmet kitchen we decided on these beautiful dark cabinets. They are Landen – Maple – Flagstone. These will also be the cabinets for the other areas in our home (powder room, hall bath, master bath). The countertops are a granite called White Ornamental. You can’t tell from the picture, but it has pretty specs of purple and grey running through it. We decided to do LVT flooring all throughout the first floor, with the exception of the living room. We chose this beautiful Limed Oak Chateau Gray.
I was really worried we were going to be there for HOURS but thankfully it was only 2 hours. The drive down was pretty intense with heavy traffic due to construction. The way back was rush hour….so it wasn’t very fun coming home. Thankfully, the girls did amazingly well and we had pizza for dinner.
I started not feeling the greatest that day, and now am in the process of having a sore throat/potentially losing my voice.
If you want to know about more of our choices, I’ve got a detailed list going here that you can check out.
Next in the process is submitting for the blueprints and then appraisal. I also have a Guardian appointment later this week that hopefully won’t take very long.
I’ll update more as soon as we’re done with that appointment, but I suspect our pre-construction meeting won’t happen until January.
